AXIOM Line Arrays take the stage during St Jean Baptiste in Montreal

Like every year the St. Jean Baptiste festivities require peak performance from their state-of-the-art technologies.

Montreal, QC - As part of the celebration, AXIOM teamed up with Ranger Son Eclairage to introduce the AX800A line array speaker system to Montreal for the first time. Supplied by Montreal-based Ranger Son Eclairage, the system took full advantage of the AXIOM AX800A astonishing size/power ratio.

“The self-powered system delivered the power necessary to cover the outdoor venue with headroom to spare.”

For the St Jean Baptiste celebration, the main PA system consisted of left and right AXIOM clusters with four mid-format AX800A elements each. Front-fill came courtesy of two AXIOM AX12C systems, each consisting of two AX12C line array elements. For low frequency, Ranger matched the arrays with four SW1800A subwoofers and two SW218XA used as Infra-sub.

According to Francois Ranger, owner of RSL, “The AXIOM line arrays always amaze me with their configurability and headroom. Our sound engineering staff was very impressed, like so many engineers who get their first chance to mix on a AXIOM rig when they come through this festival. After the show, the AXIOM system goes straight to their rider.” “Such a small speaker with such an enormous power!”

The complete system was cleverly managed with the PRONET AX software, to ensure the perfect synergy of the unique AXIOM combination of arrays.
